Information Regarding TARDOC

The tariff delegate, the board, and the secretariat have been confronted with numerous queries regarding TARDOC. As the majority of these questions are identical, we have summarised some information for you below:

The Positions

  • GK.05.0030 – Sonography, examination of the urogenital system, transabdominal
  • C11.49Z Percutaneous renal biopsy/pyeloscopy and other surgical procedures on the urinary organs
  • VK.00.0020 Assessment of urinary sediment

can still be billed with the designation (Dignität) as a specialist title holder in Nephrology.

The Position “Organ Examination” AA.05

  • This position was never part of the designation for Nephrology but was billed via the designation for General Internal Medicine.
  • In the application procedure for 2025, the opening of the designation to “All” (All specialities) has already been requested.
  • If this application is approved, all specialities will be able to bill for this position starting in 2027.
  • Should this application not be approved, we will endeavour to submit it in early 2026. The time spent on the physical examination will be billed as time for the nephrological consultation.

Here is a guide on how to inform yourself about TARDOC positions:

  • Select “My Designations” under LKAAT plus Online Browser – Home.
  • Select the designation “All” and your continuing education title(s) (according to your profile on www.doctorfmh.ch).
    • Designation without a preceding abbreviation: Specialist Title (Facharzttitel)
    • Designation with the preceding abbreviation SP: Subspecialities (Schwerpunkte)
    • Designation with the preceding abbreviation FA: Certificates of Competence (Fähigkeitsausweise)
  • Under “Services,” you will now have a list of all TARDOC positions and outpatient lump sums that you are entitled to bill for based on your continuing education titles. You may bill for these TARDOC positions and outpatient lump sums as long as you possess these continuing education titles, without needing to apply for acquired rights.
